Understanding Our Programs

Therapeutic Riding

Our adaptive riding program is tailored to individuals with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. Led by PATH Intl. certified instructors, participants develop core strength, coordination, and confidence while forming deep bonds with their equine partners.

The carriage driving program offers a unique alternative for participants who cannot ride due to weight, balance, or mobility constraints. It provides the same therapeutic benefits of animal connection from a safety-adapted carriage.

Rescue Support & Rehabilitation

Our rescue initiative provides a safe haven for horses and farm animals in need. By rehabilitating these animals and integrating them into our therapeutic programs, we create a cycle of mutual healing where rescued souls help humans find their own strength.

Safety Protocols & Barn Expectations

Safety is our highest priority at White Knight Therapeutic Equestrian Center & Rescue. All participants must wear ASTM/SEI approved helmets during mounted activities. Proper footwear is required for barn entry and riding lessons.

Visitors and family members are welcome to watch from designated observation areas. For the well-being of our rescues, please do not feed horses treats or hand-feed any animals without explicit permission from a staff member.

When interacting with our rescued horses, please approach slowly and speak in soft tones. Sudden movements or loud noises can startle animals in rehabilitation. Always follow the specific instructions of your instructor or barn manager.

Ensuring you understand these guidelines is the first step toward a successful program enrollment. By respecting our barn rules, you help maintain a sanctuary of healing for both our human participants and our beloved rescued souls.
