Join the Heart of Our Healing Mission

Become a volunteer and help us transform lives, one horse and one rider at a time.

THE IMPACT

Connecting Souls, Creating Purpose

At White Knight, volunteers are the lifeblood of our mission. By supporting our riders, you help provide safety and encouragement for those from underserved communities. In return, you'll build deep connections with our rescued horses, gain unique equestrian skills, and find a profound sense of purpose. Whether you're leading a horse or helping in the barn, your presence creates a ripple effect of healing and inclusion across the wider community.

Voices from Our Stables

"Volunteering here has been a breath of fresh air. Seeing the bond between a child and a rescued horse for the first time is something I'll never forget. It's healing for them, and honestly, it's healing for me too."

Sarah J., Barn Volunteer

"The team is so inclusive and trauma-aware. They truly understand the needs of underserved communities. As a parent of a rider and now a side-walker volunteer, I can't recommend this place enough."

David L., Family Member & Volunteer

"Helping with the lesson support has taught me so much about patience and communication. The horses are amazing teachers, and the staff makes you feel supported every step of the way."

Maria R., Lesson Support Volunteer

Common Questions

What is the minimum age to volunteer?

We welcome volunteers aged 14 and older. Younger horse enthusiasts may participate with a parent or guardian present, depending on the role. Safety for both our humans and horses is our top priority.

Do I need prior horse experience?

Not at all! While horse experience is a plus for certain roles, we provide comprehensive training and orientation for all our volunteers. We have roles ranging from administrative work to horse care that fit all skill levels.

How much time do I need to commit?

We offer flexible scheduling. Some volunteers join us for a few hours once a week, while others help during special events. We appreciate any amount of time you can give to help our riders and horses flourish.

Can I volunteer if I have a physical disability?

Absolutely. Accessibility is core to our mission. We will work with you to find a role that is comfortable and rewarding, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to contribute to our healing environment.

Do you accept group volunteering for businesses?

Yes, we love hosting corporate groups, schools, and civic organizations for service days. These large-scale efforts help us with major barn projects and facility maintenance that keep our sanctuary running smoothly.
